First off, congratulations to the happy couple, Madison and Tony, who tied the knot last Thursday! We started off our session in the parking lot, I sat up the black back drop because Madsion had requested double exposures! My heart swelled. So I loaded the Canon IIe with Kodak Gold for the film shots and for digital I used the 6D as always. I was so excited they included their pup, who was an absolute treat to work with. As always I’m just sharing some of my personal faves from our hybrid wedding session. Really needed this kick of romance after the LONG forced hiatus. So much love between the two.
Pinstripes Georgetown Wedding- Ray and Kathy
Ray and Kathy are a couple I met through my husband via USMC recruiting duty. They are a fun loving couple who are blending two families. They kept their wedding intimate but not too serious.
They selected Pinstripes as their venue. During the cocktail hour while we were taking Bridal photos guests got to enjoy snacks in an upscale lounge while bowling or playing bocce ball. Afterwards we headed upstairs to a private ballroom and bar for dinner and dancing.
Kathy and her daughter spent time making the flower arrangements and center pieces All the little details of their family, careers, and snoopy were scattered about so lovingly. From first look to first kiss to first dance, it was an honor to be a part of their day.
Germantown, MD- Pretty in Paint with Kat
I met Kat a couple of years ago at a shootout in Charleston, SC. We actually both lived in Beaufort and despite both of our efforts we never managed to be able to shoot together. Luckily for me her father lives near by and she was swinging in town for a visit. Kat can be easily identified as an alternative model. However we wanted to start with something soft and sweet at our local park and then come back to my place and get a little messy.
For the first shoot we simply took to the foot path of the park at Ridge Road in Germantown. For the second shoot we used a Love Is Art kit to get messy have some fun in my tiny living room . Generally the company sell these kits as to use for lovers. They have become my go to wedding gift. However no lovers were involved in the making of these photos, just the love and appreciation of the female figure and fun.
Cabin John, MD- Tina's Bridal Shower
A couple of weeks ago I was invited to welcome a new family member via bridal shower. It was a family affair and a delicious feast. This is just to share the details that the hostess Denise spent time on. No images of guests will be posted here.
The event was full of fresh flowers, sea food and laughter.
Bonita Maas Park- Melissa's Bridal Shower
On Saturday I was invited to photograph a bridal shower of Melissa, a friend of a woman I met when I lived in California and then reconnected with in South Carolina, and then we meet here in Maryland for this momentous event.
Melissa is in the landscaping business and the details of her bridal shower showed her love for plants.
Hand stamped seed packets were gifted to those who attended.
The shower games were fun and interactive.
Gifts from the handmade to the humorous.
And the fun whisper bench!
Congrats on your engagement Melissa!
